Dr. Sepideh Ghanavati

Dr. Sepideh Ghanavati is an assistant professor in Software Engineering at the Department of Computer Science at Texas Tech University. My research interests are in the area of Regulatory Compliance Software Engineering (RCSE) and application of NLP and Requirements Engineering in privacy and security. Prior to joining Texas Tech, Dr. Ghanavati completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and served as a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University. While in industry, Dr. Ghanavati was Senior Project Manager and Senior Business Analyst at e-Dealer and eHealth Ontario (Canada). She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Systems Science from the University of Ottawa, as well as a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. She is a member of IEEE.

Dr. Aaron Massey

Dr. Aaron Massey is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at UMBC and the Co-Director of ThePrivacyPlace.org. His research interests include computer security, privacy, software engineering, and regulatory compliance in software systems. Aaron is a recipient of the Walter H. Wilkinson Graduate Research Ethics Fellowship and a recipient of a Google Policy Fellowship. Before coming to UMBC, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech's School of Interactive Computing. Aaron earned a PhD and MS in Computer Science from North Carolina State Universi-ty and a BS in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. He is a member of the ACM, IEEE, IAPP, and the USACM Public Policy Council.

Dr. Travis Breaux

Dr. Travis D. Breaux is an Associate Professor of Computer Science, appointed in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Breaux's research program searches for new methods and tools for developing correct software specifications and ensuring that software systems conform to those specifications in a transparent, reliable and trustworthy manner. This includes demonstrating compliance with U.S. and international accessibility, privacy and security laws, policies and standards. Dr. Breaux is the Director of the Requirements Engineering Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Breaux has several publications in ACM and IEEE-sponsored journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Breaux is a member of the ACM SIGSOFT, IEEE Computer Society and USACM Public Policy Committee.
